New multi-sport festival headed to Salt Lake

This December Salt Lake is welcoming the first ever Salt Lake Unity Fest! This multi-sport festival was created to help unite the LGBTQ+ Community and allies. Unity Fest was created by Summit LOC, based locally in Salt Lake. The Executive Director, Michelle McCardell, has a history of producing high level events, such as the 2018 Donate Life Transplant Games. Unity Fest is coming to Salt Lake during a slower period for the hotels and community, making it an ideal event for the city to host.

Salt Lake to Host 2023 NBA All-Star Game

The NBA announced that Salt Lake City has been selected to host NBA All-Star 2023. The 72nd NBA All-Star Game will take place at Vivint Smart Home Arena, home of the Utah Jazz, on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023. This will mark the 30th anniversary of the 1993 NBA All-Star Game played in Salt Lake City.

The RAC Proves to be an Economic Engine in 2019

The Salt Lake City Regional Athletic Complex is wrapping up its 4th season since opening its doors, and 2019 is one of the best years on record. Visit Salt Lake estimates more than $12 million in economic impact was produced from the RAC hosting various large scale tournaments in 2019. Many of these events are youth based, meaning that the athletes are often accompanied by parents and siblings who find Salt Lake to be an ideal vacation spot, which results in extended stays by many of these visitors.

Sports ETA

Visit Salt Lake has been a proud member of Sports ETA (formerly the NASC) for nearly a decade. Chris Robinson represented the destination at the most recent 4S Summit held in Providence this October, as he continues to work toward his CSEE credential. Clay Partain is currently serving on the Sports ETA Membership and Engagement Committee.
