Altitude Sickness

HOW TO RECOGNIZE AND PREVENT ALTITUDE SICKNESS

When you’re skiing at resorts 8,000 feet above sea level it’s important to know how to recognize, treat, and prevent altitude sickness. Our four world-class ski resorts and their annual average of 500 inches of The Greatest Snow on Earth® are all above 8,000 feet. Up there, oxygen levels are lower than normal and the body needs time to adjust. Don’t worry though, most people adjust easily, and there are simple ways to avoid and relieve altitude sickness.
