Pride Month in Salt Lake

All year round, Salt Lake proudly owns its designation as one of Advocate magazine’s Ten Queerest Cities in America, but in June, well, something extra special happens. Rainbow flags appear in windows, in yards, on porches, and on restaurant patios. The city block around Library Square bustles with activity as festival tents and audio systems are set up. Restaurants and bars stock up for a wave of revelers. And everyone in town — whatever their orientation — gets ready for a rainbow-infused real good time. It’s Pride Week.

Zoo Brew: Cheers to Utah's Hogle Zoo

Savor the Summit

This is not your average dinner party! Loosen your belts, Park City’s Savor the Summit returns to historic Main Street for the largest dinner party in the state. On Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., a variety of restaurants will be serving their specialties to over 2,500 participants, al fresco, as the sun sets behind Main Street. Park City’s biggest outdoor dinner party offering diners a unique celebration of fabulous food, drink and live music while seated in the middle of Main Street. Park City best restaurants will showcase their culinary talents in an open-air community celebration.

The Salt Lake Connect Pass

"Mooommmmmm, I'm boooored." It's a phrase that need never be heard in Salt Lake again thanks to the Connect Pass, a ticket to 16 of the city's best family-friendly attractions. You can purchase the Connect Pass for a day, a few days, or spring for a full year of access. So it works wonderfully for visitors passing through as well as for families who live right here in the city and need an excuse to check out more museums, parks, rides, and exhibits.

It wasn’t long ago that Salt Lake’s cocktail scene amounted to little more than cheap gin and tonics or quick rum and Cokes. (A couple of upscale cocktail spots were ahead of their time—see The Vault at Bambara and The Red Door.) Luckily for us, things have changed. Craft cocktail bars abound, from speakeasy-inspired hideaways to vibrant indoor/outdoor hangouts. In alphabetical order, here’s a list of go-to spots for expertly mixed spirits.
